1. What kind of appointment do you desire?

There are two types of visits available for self-referrals. These are:

A. Neuropsychiatric evaluation includes a complete neurologic, psychiatric, and
psychopharmacological assessment.

B. Psychotherapy intake exam and / or psychotherapy sessions.

2. Decide where / how you want to see Dr. Winer

A. Neuro-psychiatric evaluation must be done at the Island Ave. office.

B. Psychotherapy intake and exam can be done either at my office or by a phone consultation.

All appointments require a $125.00 deposit before my office will schedule a consultation. Because of large number of inquiries, until the appointment is scheduled, I cannot make myself available for answering your questions about your conditions, or whether I might be able to help you, or whether it is appropriate for you to see me.

While I understand your desire to speak with me before a visit, I suggest you read information on the website and look at my CV (resume). Hopefully, this will answer most of your questions.

1. Insurance re-imbursement

For the psychiatric / psychotherapy portion, we issue you a receipt which you can then submit to your insurance company for consideration for re-imbursement. If you have concerns about the amount of your re-imbursement, read / print the sample PDF receipt for your insurance company to review.

I suggest you ask them questions about the amount of your yearly deductible payment for psychotherapy and the percentage rate they re-imburse for psychotherapy.
